Be Ye Reconciled

Isaiah 59:2: But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

2 Corinthians 5:20: Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ*s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

There are all sorts of barriers that sin builds up. It separates us from God and it separates us from other men. It destroys relationships. It separates us from those we ought to love. When we become saved we are given the ability to be reconciled to God and to men. Jesus shed His blood to bring about reconciliation. If we have received Jesus, an increase in peace should define our lives.

Ephesians 2:13: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

When we receive Christ we are given peace with God and the peace of God. Often when individuals have received Christ they use the word peace to describe the experience. It is a shame that we don*t always maintain that peace and multiply it. We foolishly let sin come between us and God and between us and others.

Romans 5:10: For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

2 Corinthians 5:18: And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

Ephesians 4:18: Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

Colossians 1:21: And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled.

Romans 5:1: Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 Peter 1:2: Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

Matthew 5:24: Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.

Proverbs 16:7: When a man*s ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Matthew 5:9: Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Psalms 34:14: Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

Romans 12:18: If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

There is no true peace without the Prince of Peace and the God of Peace.

Isaiah 9:6: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Romans 15:33: Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
